PJC Bookkeeping Services : More about me

I started my bookkeeping practice in April 2009 after passing examinations at the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB). If you are wondering what some of the letters following my name mean here they are:

MICB - Diploma in Manual Bookkeeping Level 3
CB.Dip - Diploma in Computerised Bookkeeping Level 3
PM.Dip - Diploma in Payroll Management

What else do I have? I got a B.Sc Honours degree in Computer Science many many years ago - back in the days of mainframes! For most of my career I worked in the IT industry but found it difficult getting a suitable job in the last few years. I spent 15 years at Fujitsi (ICL), Stevenage mostly involved with the internal operations of the company like invoicing and sales ledger so I developed a good understanding of accounting practices.

 
Although I have taken administrative and banking roles since 2003 it was time to change
direction. A friend talked about bookkeeping opportunities some years ago so here I am.
